Da Capo is an interactive interface that facilitates the musical learning through dynamic representations of music concepts. The project explores the possibilities of data visualization applied to music as a means of facilitating the comprehension, learning and understanding of its concepts.
We defined a graphic notation system to music associating color theory, graphic forms and musical notes. This new system of representation is mainly based on the Works of authors Celso Wilmer, Laia Clos and Wassily Kandinsky.
The hypothesis of the project was confirmed through the tests: the process of interacting with music becomes more engaging with a system that explores the dynamism of music. The way it is represented and perceived is also benefited by a new musical interface.
