Arpoador

Arpoador explores the movement of tridimensional forms through experimental electronics and physical computing technologies such as servos, motion detectors and RGB LEDs.

A laminated paper structure is deformed by digitally controlled motors. A gerative art algorithm creates organic forms and color variations which are activated by laser motion detector sensors.

The result references iconic elements of the Rio de Janeiro landscape: the flight of seagulls, sea waves, the colors of the sunset and drawings in sand, for instance.
